New Line up of Precision Management ICs for Enhanced Battery life in IoT, Industrial, and Healthcare Applications

Maxim Integrated's New Essential Analog Precision Measurement ICs

Maxim integrated has introduced three new Essential Analog ICs, MAX41400 instrumentation amplifier, MAX40108 precision operational amplifier, and MAX31343 real-time clock (RTC) with integrated MEMS oscillator. These new devices allow the designers to achieve doubled battery life along with robust protection and high accuracy in the internet of things (IoT), industrial and healthcare applications.

The MAX41400 instrumentation amplifier offers a low offset of 25µV, low noise, and programmable gain with only 65µA current consumption. With 4 times improved sensor system accuracy, the device can extend battery life by 55% compared to the closest competitive offering. The MAX40108 precision operational amplifier operates at the lowest supply voltage as 0.9V. The device combines low operational supply voltage, lower power consumption, and 25.5µA quiescent current for allowing engineers to double sensor battery life.

With a timekeeping accuracy of ±5ppm, the MAX31343 I²C RTC with integrated MEMS oscillator is better than the closest competitor and it also offers robust protection afforded by a MEMS resonator. The integrated resonator of the device eliminates crystal mechanical failures and enables the smallest WLP. All three devices, the MAX41400 instrumentation amplifier, MAX40108 precision operational amplifier, and MAX31343 real-time clock (RTC) are available from the company website for $0.87, $0.99, and $1.72 respectively along with their unique evaluation kit.
