Nozomi Networks Integrates with Nokia MXIE for Secure Industry 4.0 Operations

Nozomi Networks Guardian integrated with MX Industrial Edge (MXIE) Platform

Nokia has integrated Nozomi Networks among six new Industry 4.0 applications on its MX Industrial Edge (MXIE) platform. This collaboration enables industrial and critical infrastructure organizations to manage operations and industrial control systems securely over private 5G networks. The MXIE platform supports both cloud-native and virtual machine-based applications from Nokia and third-party independent software vendors. A recent report by Analysys Mason indicates that private wireless use cases are attracting significant interest, paving the way for increased enterprise investments in advanced connectivity and automation.

The integration embeds the Nozomi Networks Guardian onto the MXIE, providing enhanced visibility into operational processes on private networks. The Guardian analyzes network traffic to detect potential threats and vulnerabilities across connected devices. This functionality is crucial for maintaining security in environments that rely on private 5G connectivity ensuring that operational technology systems are protected against emerging cyber risks. The solution is designed to offer clear insights into network performance and security, which is essential for critical infrastructure management.

Customers will soon be able to deploy the Nozomi Networks Guardian sensor directly from the Nokia DAC Marketplace. This deployment option simplifies the integration process and supports the growing demand for secure operational technology and IoT solutions in industry. As investments in private wireless networks continue to rise, the combined solution reinforces Nokia’s commitment to providing robust and secure platforms for modern industrial applications.
