Vodafone Idea Unveils 5G, IoT Solutions at IMC 2024

At the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2024, Vodafone Idea unveiled its 5G and IoT-powered solutions aimed at consumers and enterprises. Showcasing innovations like remote healthcare technology and digital advisory services for MSMEs, the company highlighted its role in driving digital transformation across industries.

On the first day of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2024, Vodafone Idea (Vi) showcased its cutting-edge 5G and IoT-powered solutions designed to enhance both consumer and enterprise experiences. Through its Vi Business 'Ready for Next' program, the telecom giant has partnered with 1.6 lakh MSMEs across 16 sectors, offering a Digital Advisory Service aimed at helping businesses accelerate their digital growth. Vi also unveiled the Digital Maturity Index from its MSME Growth Insights Study, designed to help businesses evaluate their digital readiness while providing critical insights for industry growth.

One of the standout innovations displayed was Vi’s "Clinic in a Bag" a remote healthcare solution aimed at delivering affordable medical services to rural areas. This portable solution allows healthcare professionals to conduct over 30 essential medical tests, including vitals, cardiac and pulmonary functions and blood screenings, at a cost-effective rate of less than Rs 250 per test. By leveraging 5G technology, the solution addresses the gap in healthcare infrastructure and specialist availability in remote areas, making quality healthcare more accessible to millions.

Vi is also leading the way with Industry 4.0 solutions, combining 5G, IoT, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to digitize business processes, connect human and non-human assets and enable real-time monitoring. Among its enterprise solutions, Vi showcased AI-powered technologies like SD-WAN, CPaaS and CCaaS, which help businesses improve security, communication and overall efficiency. Vi also created an immersive 360-degree dome experience, showing how live performances by artists in different locations can be synchronized in real-time, offering a glimpse into the future of entertainment and collaboration.
