Samsung is revitalizing its existing appliances with the exciting new 'Smart Forward' updates, which introduce a host of innovative features to boost safety, energy efficiency, and user experience.
This exciting upgrade brings a range of new functionalities to the Family Hub - a touchscreen panel integrated into select Samsung refrigerators. Among the standout features are Quick Share, which lets you effortlessly transfer photos from your mobile device to the Family Hub screen; Buds Auto Switch, enabling smooth audio transitions between your Galaxy Buds and the Family Hub; and Fridge Call, allowing you to take phone calls directly on the Family Hub using its built-in microphone and speaker. These updates will be available on Family Hub-equipped refrigerators from 2017 onward.
In addition to these nifty features, Samsung is enhancing the Bixby voice assistant to understand complex commands and remember recent conversations, making interactions more intuitive. Starting with five 2024 models, including the Bespoke 4-Door Refrigerator with AI Family Hub and the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, Bixby will now open refrigerator doors upon request without needing wake-up commands. Refrigerators with Family Hub launched in Korea and the US after 2022 will also get a new wallpaper feature for a personalized kitchen touch.
Older models, dating back to 2021, will benefit from new safety and energy-saving updates. These include power outage alerts via the SmartThings app, customizable door chimes, and an Optimal Scheduling feature for energy-efficient appliance use. With these updates rolling out throughout H2 2024, Samsung is committed to ensuring its appliances remain cutting-edge, safeguarding your investment and reducing the need for frequent replacements.
