CMVP Certified RX65N Microcontrollers to Offers Enhanced Security and Connectivity in IoT Devices

CMVP Certified RX65N Microcontrollers

Renesas Electronics Corporation has announced that its 32-bit RX65N microcontroller (MCU) has achieved Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP) Level 3 certification under the FIPS 140-2 security standard. The general purpose RX65N MCU with enhanced security, connectivity, and human-machine interface (HMI) functions is suitable for Industrial and IoT devices.

The CAVP certified Trusted Secure IP (TSIP) module of the 32-bit RX65N MCU comprises an encryption engine with AES, SHA, RSA, and ECC support, a true random number generator (TRNG), and an encrypted key management mechanism, implements robust security functions. The RX65N MCU comes with dual-bank flash memory for supporting background operation and SWAP function to enable secure and highly reliable firmware updates in system control or network devices and to prevent program tampering.

The CMVP certified RX65N MCU allows the customers to easily develop devices with robust and trustworthy security functions, reducing the development workload and the overall security risks.
